“Pussy infused with sea salt, sea front, I can be who I am” - Sea Salt
When my eyes are full of ocean, I feel more like myself. Or who I want to be all the time. That’s why I completely re-arranged and re-oriented my life to be able to spend as much time as possible in communication with the sea.
Not only that, it was an ancestral calling, a desire to live a life that more closely resembles my ancestors- not fighting the daily grind of a concrete jungle.
But paradise has its own fights. The ongoing fight for humane treatment as a US colony. The fight against greedy developers that are ready to take every inch of the coast if there weren’t folks ready to fight to keep the beaches public, the list goes on.
“Las playas son del pueblo.” / “The beaches belong to the people” is a refrain that anchors the movement. It’s the law that all beaches must remain public, after all. But in reality, greed often eclipses the law in political/physical landscapes like these.

As women and/or people with pussies, we understand what it is to have our boundaries crossed, to have our natural resources abused, to have our autonomy undermined.
We too respond to the moon much like the tides do. We crash and flow and our temperament changes like the waves.
Mankind thinks it controls us, just like it thinks it can control the ocean and who it belongs to.
In some stories, sirens were stewardess’ of the sea.
In most modern myths, the siren archetype is the equivalent of the villain.
I consider this a distraction and anti femme propaganda. Because the energy of magnetism, seduction, temptation is equated with evil. Especially if it's a woman who is wielding it.
Many of us feel the urge to protect the earth deep in our bones. Most of us don’t know what, why or how.
But what if we trusted ourselves enough and we knew how to wield our power?
We could use our power for so many things, for example: to restore a balance to the earth, to create safety for those figuratively lost at see, to anchor our communities while the madmen in control do their best to stir up absolute chaos.
What if we listened closely enough to hear our role and we received deeply and took inspired action? And then we kept doing that.
It would be pretty radical.
What if we didn’t waste our time wrestling with doubt, shame and fear but instead we trusted - imagine what a FORCE
we would be. What a force we already are.
The forcefields outside of us are real. I won’t gaslight you. But we are real too. We are skin and bone and blood and spirit. We are more powerful than we know and we spend most of our time shrinking ourselves.
At the risk of ridicule, and receiving misplaced rage and/or indifference, I am choosing to step forward one foot at a time towards the siren’s call. The one that calls me in my daydreams, meditations, and in moments of clarity, stirring my spirit to GO FORTH, to be brave, to stay centered and to trust the flow.
Part of what I’m here to do is to help others to hear this call too- to connect to their truth through intuition, desires, embodiment and expression. In order to do that I have to stay so deeply rooted in my own.
We’re only at the tip of the iceberg of what’s possible if we activate this energy together.
And honestly, it’s sink or swim at this point.
So if you’re feeling the urge to step into your power even or especially at this noisy, chaotic, terrifying time, I invite you to join me for one of my upcoming virtual or in person experiences. Here you will be in community, plug into the voice of your intuition and see a clear way forward embodying who you came here to be.
